Using Console Commands for Inventory Management
You can also manage inventories through console commands.
Clear Player Inventory (Requires Plugin)
Vanilla Minecraft doesn't have a built-in clear inventory command. You'll need plugins like EssentialsX or ClearLag:
With EssentialsX:
clear PlayerNameOr clear specific items:
clear PlayerName diamond 64
Give Items to Players
To give items to a player:
give PlayerName item_name [amount]
Examples:
give IXuka_Vuraml diamond 64
give IXuka_Vuraml minecraft:golden_apple 10
give IXuka_Vuraml stone_pickaxe 1
View Player NBT Data (Advanced)
For advanced users with file access:
data get entity PlayerName
This shows detailed NBT data including inventory contents, but it's complex to interpret.

- Review server logs for crash timestamp
- If legitimate, restore from backup or compensate items manually
- Use console commands to give replacement items
- Document the incident for future reference
Scenario 3: Event Preparation

- Clear all participant inventories beforehand
- Use console commands to give standardized gear
- Verify each player's inventory through Player Manager

Warning: Incorrect NBT editing can corrupt player data. Only advanced users should attempt this.
Scheduled Inventory Clearance
For survival servers with economy systems:
- Install a plugin like ClearLag
- Configure automatic item drops clearance
- Set warning timers before clearing
- Exclude valuable items from auto-clear
- Notify players about scheduled cleanups
Inventory Rollbacks
For servers with CoreProtect installed:
/co rollback u:PlayerName t:30m a:+container
